For the past few days, unfounded rumors had been circulating that the Ivorian public broadcaster had not obtained the broadcasting rights for the competition. RTI management quickly responded on Monday, June 8, 2026, to put an end to the speculation with an official statement.
RTI calls these allegations "completely unfounded." The broadcaster reiterates that it is indeed an official co-broadcaster of the 2026 FIFA World Cup throughout Ivory Coast, in accordance with the agreement already announced on April 30.
