The Miss Cameroon Organizing Committee (COMICA) announced on February 25, 2026 , the immediate disqualification of Josiane Harangada Golonga , elected Miss Cameroon 2025 last July. The decision, made public in an official statement, follows a review deemed "careful and thorough" of her conduct since her crowning.

COMICA explained that several serious and repeated breaches of contractual obligations motivated this drastic measure. Among the grievances raised were:

The first runner-up, Orphée Dinangue , is now called upon to assume the interim role to ensure continuity of the function and preserve the image of the institution until the next election.
