For Professor Yazdan Yazdanpanah, head of the infectious and tropical diseases department at Bichat Hospital and director of ANRS – Emerging Infectious Diseases (ANRS-MIE), the 2030 ambition must first be clarified: " We are not talking about eradicating the virus itself. There are 40 million people living with HIV, but about eradicating its transmission ."
