Le Magnific enflamme le Canada au Festival Afrikiki : Succès retentissant !
The Ivorian comedian triumphs and wins over a new audience during his three-week tour.
It's a superstar comeback for Le Magnific. The Ivorian comedian has just completed an unforgettable Canadian tour, culminating in his participation in the 10th edition of the "Afrikiki" International Comedy Festival. From October 2 to 21, Canada vibrated to the rhythm of his jokes.
Alongside his peers from Africa and beyond, Le Magnific has played to sold-out crowds in major cities like Montreal, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, and even as far away as Nunavut, bringing packed houses to their knees. His secret? A powerful sense of humor, blending finesse, African roots, and keen social observation.
Returning to Abidjan on October 22, the artist made no secret of his enthusiasm. "Thank you to the organizers, a team of professionals, for this exceptional 10th edition. Thank you to the warm audiences from the various cities who gave us a very warm welcome," he said.
More than just a critical success, the tour was a true conquest. The Magnific succeeded in its gamble: to appeal beyond the diaspora. "In the various venues where we played, there were Canadians who were discovering me. They liked my humor. That was my gamble, and I won it," he said. A success that was also celebrated by the presence of the Canadian Minister of Culture at one of the Montreal shows.
No time to rest: with this newfound popularity, Le Magnific is already setting its sights on its next goal: an ambitious American tour.
