Démolition Préventive à Faya : Un Immeuble à Risque Mis à Terre
The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Urban Planning demolished a building in Riviera Faya on Friday, December 5, 2025. This action followed a warning issued the previous day by residents.
On the evening of Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Ministry's services were notified of the building's concerning condition. A technical team dispatched to the site immediately confirmed the need for action. The occupants were evacuated without delay, and a security perimeter was established that same evening to prevent any danger.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred during work to reinforce the building's pillars. The building was demolished with an excavator on Friday morning. The previous day, the Military Firefighters Group (GSPM), in collaboration with the National Gendarmerie and Police, had already carried out a preventative evacuation of the premises.
