Stuck in the second division for five years, the legendary Ivorian club is staging a comeback. To orchestrate its grand return to the top flight, Africa Sports of Abidjan has just unveiled an ambitious project to modernize its infrastructure.

This marks a historic turning point that club president Guillaume Zébé hopes to initiate. Recognizing that the prestige of the club crest is no longer enough, the leader of the "Oyés" announced a major transformation plan on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, via his official social media channels.

"In its 79 years of existence, this club has experienced everything: glory, doubt, governance crises, sporting and financial difficulties. Our duty is to do everything possible to return to the top," he declared with gravity and ambition.

Professionalism through stone: the project details

For Mr. Guillaume Zébé, the revival of Africa Sports requires aligning with the standards of modern football, which requires skills, significant financial resources and, above all, top-level facilities.

This large-scale project includes the construction of:

1. Two regulation football pitches ;
2. A professional gym and a modern infirmary ;
3. State-of-the-art changing rooms ;
4. An accommodation centre comprising 20 equipped rooms ;
5. Two administrative offices to structure the club.

A call for a united front among "Associate Members"

However, such a project cannot come to fruition without the support of the "green and red" people. Given the scale of the investments, the president has launched a passionate appeal for the financial and popular mobilization of all supporters.

“We have fallen far behind schedule. I therefore urge you to take this project to heart so that together we can achieve it in the interest of our club,” insisted Mr. Zébé.

The message is clear: for the Ivorian giant to wake up, a sacred union has now been decreed among the Oyés.
