The Council of Ministers gave its formal authorization this Thursday for the acquisition of the land on which the Saint-Joseph high school in Ouagadougou is built. This school, which has been inactive for approximately three years, is at the heart of an operation aimed at consolidating the state's real estate assets.

Operation Details

Context: The State has taken steps to purchase this property, which belonged to the late Laurent Ghilat.
Location: The estate is located in sector 26 of Ouagadougou.
Area: This is a total plot of 12,412 square meters (m²) .
Infrastructure: The site has 2,504.99 m² of usable infrastructure , including the main buildings, annexes and various school facilities.

Financial Terms

Negotiations with the owner's heirs resulted in the acquisition price being set at 2 billion CFA francs (FCFA) .

Strategic Objective

The formalization of this acquisition allows the State not only to significantly strengthen its land and real estate assets , but also to enhance the value of a site considered strategic in the capital.
