CAN 2027 : le Kenya accélère les préparatifs pour accueillir l’Afrique du football
For the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations , Kenya is intensifying its preparations to host the continental competition, which it will co-host with Tanzania and Uganda . This edition promises to be historic, as it will be the first AFCON jointly organized by three East African countries.
To ensure they are ready for the tournament, Kenyan authorities are increasing their investments in sports infrastructure. The flagship project remains the construction of Talanta Stadium , a modern arena with nearly 60,000 seats in Nairobi, intended to host some of the tournament's major matches.
Meanwhile, several of the country's iconic stadiums, including the Moi International Sports Centre and the Nyayo National Stadium , are undergoing renovations to meet the standards of the Confederation of African Football .
CAF inspection missions are conducted regularly to assess the progress of the work and the organizational arrangements. For Kenya and its neighbors, the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations represents not only a major sporting challenge, but also a strategic opportunity to boost tourism, modernize infrastructure, and enhance East Africa's visibility on the continental stage.
