Centrafrique : Bras de fer à la mairie de Bimbo, un an sans salaire

This Thursday morning, the scene is striking: the gates of the town hall are closed, guarded by security personnel. Inside, silence has replaced the usual administrative hubbub. The direct consequence for users: a complete blockage .
"I came for a birth certificate, but nothing is working. Even those getting married this weekend are blocked. It's worrying," says Samson, a distraught user.
For the staff, the situation has become untenable. Narcisse Fabien Ngo, a staff representative, denounces fruitless negotiations and broken promises. The human impact is significant.
"If we do not receive our twelve months' salary, work will not resume," warns the delegate.
While the mayor's office declined to comment officially, sources behind the scenes suggest that a solution is being sought. According to an internal source, administrative procedures are underway to resolve the situation "in the coming days." In the meantime, uncertainty remains, and anger persists.
