École ivoirienne : La CONEPEECI réaffirme son engagement pour un climat scolaire apaisé

On the eve of the presidential election, the National Coordination for the Awakening of Parents of Pupils and Students of Côte d'Ivoire (CONEPEECI) warns against a "political maneuver" aimed at disrupting the proper functioning of educational establishments.

It calls for vigilance and collective responsibility to preserve the serenity of the education system. The National Coordination for the Awakening of Parents of Pupils and Students of Côte d'Ivoire (CONEPEECI) reacted strongly, this Sunday, October 12, 2025, to the dissemination of a press release attributed to a structure called the Association of Parents of Pupils of Côte d'Ivoire (APECI), announcing an alleged paralysis of school activities from October 13. In an official press release signed by its president, Koné Gninlnagnon, CONEPEECI describes this release as "untimely and irresponsible", denouncing an attempt to disinform and manipulate parents.

According to CONEPEECI, APECI has no legitimacy recognized by the Ministry of National Education and represents neither parents nor school management committees. "It is disingenuous to claim to speak on behalf of parents in Côte d'Ivoire," insists the Coordination, which points out that Ivorian schools benefit from sustained efforts by the State to improve access, quality, and safety. CONEPEECI questions the coincidence between the publication of the false press release and the election period.

For her, "everything suggests that this is an instrumentalization of the school for political ends," aimed at sowing disorder and compromising the peace of mind of students and their parents. Reaffirming its commitment to peace and stability, CONEPEECI invites parents, students and the entire educational community to demonstrate lucidity and responsibility.

It warns that no attempt to disrupt school activities will be tolerated and announces that it will use all legal means, including judicial means, to hold the perpetrators of these acts accountable before the law. "Ivorian schools are our common property: no one has the right to cause disorder there," concludes the Coordination.
