Éducation à Korhogo : Un nouveau souffle pour le Groupe Scolaire Djégbè

Thursday, January 22, 2026 marked a turning point for the 1,450 students of the Djégbè school complex. The deputy-mayor of Korhogo, Ouattara Lassina (known as "Lass Pr"), officially inaugurated two new modern buildings there, putting an end to years of overcrowding in the school.

An investment of 42 million CFA francs. Faced with an overstaffed workforce, the municipality has allocated a total of 42 million CFA francs. This project includes:

Two buildings with six classrooms each.
Administrative offices and complete sanitary facilities.
An investment of 2 million FCFA dedicated exclusively to the purchase of school desks and benches.

Recognition of the State During the ceremony, Lass Pr praised President Alassane Ouattara's vision, emphasizing that these achievements are the result of resources allocated to local communities. " Let us all thank the Head of State who gives us the means to meet your expectations ," he declared before an assembly composed of traditional chiefs, religious leaders, and officials from the Ministry of National Education.

Towards a Healthier School: The Promise of a Well The town hall's commitment doesn't stop there. The mayor, who is also a member of parliament, announced the imminent construction of a drinking water well on the school grounds. The objective is clear: to guarantee hygiene and prevent children from having to leave school to fetch water.
