Éducation au Tchad : Le COSET et la PSSET Confirment le Maintien de la Grève Nationale
N'Djamena, Chad – Despite an announcement of a suspension by a local entity, the strike in Chad's education sector continues. The Collective of Education Sector Unions of Chad (COSET) and the Platform of Education Sector Unions of Chad (PSSET) issued a joint statement on November 1, 2025, reaffirming the full continuation of the movement throughout the country.
The two main unions were keen to clarify that the suspension of the strike, allegedly announced by the Chadian Teachers' Union (SET) provincial branch in N'Djamena, does not bind the other unions in the sector. Consequently, the strike remains in effect and will continue until the originally scheduled evaluation date of November 13, 2025 .
In their statement, COSET and PSSET once again called on the government to urgently resolve the crisis that has paralyzed Chadian education for several weeks.
The signatories, including spokesperson Allara Djimtibaye, reiterated their unwavering commitment to defending the rights of education workers (material, moral and professional), while also reaffirming their willingness to engage in constructive dialogue to find a lasting solution to the crisis.
