With major academic deadlines approaching, the Togolese Ministry of National Education is setting the stage. On May 15, 2026, Minister Mama Omorou addressed a crucial message to the entire education community. This official statement comes just three days before the start of the first part of the Baccalaureate (BAC 1), which kicks off the national examination season.

The complete 2026 exam schedule

The waves of competitions will follow one another at a sustained pace across the entire national territory, according to the previously established schedule:

  1. Baccalaureate 1: From May 18 to 22, 2026
  2. BEPC: June 9-11, 2026
  3. ECPD: From 16 to 18 June 2026
  4. BAC 2: From June 16 to 20, 2026

Advice to candidates and the role of families

In his letter, the minister commended the teaching staff for their dedication throughout the 2025-2026 academic year before addressing the students. He shared very concrete recommendations to maximize their chances of success: optimize revision time, avoid distractions, get enough sleep, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

"The work you have done during the school year is your best weapon," Mama Omorou reminded them to encourage the candidates.

The minister also addressed parents, stressing that their active presence and moral support form the basis for children's success during this stressful time.

Zero tolerance for fraud

To guarantee credible diplomas, the government has implemented a strict monitoring system. The minister took advantage of this announcement to issue a free warning to potential fraudsters:

"No leniency will be tolerated regarding behavior that could compromise the integrity, fairness, and credibility of these examinations."

As thousands of young Togolese prepare to head to examination centers, the pressure is palpable for families. Mama Omorou concluded her message by wishing all candidates good luck, reiterating her desire to make Togolese schools a model of fairness and excellence.
