Grand Yoff : Un chef de chantier arrêté pour le vol de matériel de plomberie
The Grand Yoff district police station has just put an end to the actions of an unscrupulous formwork foreman. He is accused of stealing 69 plumbing parts from his own workplace, causing a total loss of 1,209,000 FCFA to his employer.
The investigation, launched on April 15, quickly yielded results thanks to forensic science. Analysis of digital data revealed suspicious communications between the site manager and an accomplice, as well as a money transfer of 75,000 FCFA made the day after the theft.
Confronted with this evidence, the suspect confessed to selling the equipment to a scrap dealer, justifying his actions by citing family health problems. Currently in police custody, he awaits trial while the police actively search for his accomplice.
