Jugement imminent pour Debordo Leekunfa ce mardi
Singer Debordo Leekunfa, imprisoned since mid-November 2025 on charges of defamation and slander, is expected at the Abidjan Court of First Instance this Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 1 p.m., for his trial.
Brought before the prosecutor's office and placed under a detention order, the artist will learn his fate before the justice system that day.
According to our information, one of the main plaintiffs, Kerozen , has reportedly withdrawn his complaint. This move could potentially work in Debordo Leekunfa's favor and earn him a more lenient sentence.
However, the situation remains precarious, as Nama Bouaké , another plaintiff, has not yet withdrawn his lawsuit. The presence of this second complaint could complicate the final verdict and maintain significant legal pressure on the singer.
Having recently returned to Abidjan after a trip to Europe to participate in a concert, Debordo Leekunfa was already the subject of several complaints. After an initial arrest upon his arrival at the airport – which was dismissed due to the main complainant's lack of immediate presence – things escalated rapidly.
Upon Kerozen's arrival, he was questioned at the PLCC (Platform for Combating Cybercrime) before being imprisoned.
This Tuesday, the court will make a final ruling on the charges against the artist.
