Maroc / GenZ 212 : Jusqu'à 15 ans de prison pour 17 accusés des émeutes à Ait Amira
The Agadir Court of Appeal handed down sentences ranging from 3 to 15 years in prison to 17 people accused of riots that took place in Ait Amira, in the province of Chtouka Ait Baha, on the sidelines of the Generation Z protests in early October.
According to media sources , the court sentenced two defendants to 3 years in prison, one to 4 years, while 9 received 10-year sentences and 3 others were sentenced to 15 years. Another individual was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
On the day of the incident, several individuals set fire to vehicles belonging to the public forces, ransacked businesses and the premises of public institutions, while damaging private property.
