A major turning point has just been initiated for the Ivorian and Central African education systems. N'Guessan Koffi, the Ivorian Minister of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, and his Central African counterpart, Minister of State Aurélien-Simplice Kongbelet-Zingas, officially signed a framework cooperation agreement in Abidjan.

This strategic alliance aims to modernize education and literacy in both countries through a synergy of skills and in-depth sharing of experiences.

The pillars of the agreement: 19 articles and 9 priorities

The legal document, structured into 4 titles and 19 articles, targets nine essential areas for the sustainable transformation of the school environment:

  1. Pedagogy and digital technology: Training of trainers, curriculum engineering and deployment of educational technologies.
  2. Governance and quality: Educational planning (school map), general inspection, quality assurance and assessment of learning outcomes.
  3. School and social life: Food, student well-being and local community engagement.
  4. Institutional synergy: Strengthening administrative cooperation between the two ministries.

A shared ambition for concrete results

The Ivorian minister, N'Guessan Koffi, welcomed the agreement, describing it as the foundation for "fraternal, balanced, and sustainable cooperation." He called for the swift implementation of its provisions through concrete actions, such as the mobility of experts, the digitalization of education, and the optimization of literacy programs.

For his part, the Central African Minister of State, Aurélien-Simplice Kongbelet-Zingas, paid tribute to Côte d'Ivoire's performance. The Central African Republic particularly wishes to draw inspiration from the Ivorian model in two key sectors:

  1. Technical and vocational education.
  2. Teacher recruitment reforms for science subjects (mathematics and physical sciences) at the secondary level.
“This cooperation will contribute significantly to strengthening the capacity of our education system and improving the quality of teaching for the benefit of our students.” — Aurélien-Simplice Kongbelet-Zingas , Central African Minister of State

Conclusion of a successful mission

This formal signing marks the end of a multi-day working mission by the Central African delegation to Côte d'Ivoire. Demonstrating the strategic importance of this agreement, the ceremony took place in the presence of numerous technical and financial partners, confirming the international support given to this bilateral initiative.
