Présidentielle au Cameroun: l'ONU appelle à la "retenue" après des violences et demande des enquêtes
The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights called for investigations on Monday after reports of violence linked to the presidential election in Cameroon, won by Paul Biya for an eighth term.
"Since yesterday (Sunday), we have been receiving shocking reports of people killed, injured, or arrested during demonstrations linked to the announcement today (Monday) of the results of the presidential election. We call for restraint, the opening of investigations, and an end to the violence," the High Commission said on the social network X.
