Renforcement de la Sécurité Frontalière : Des Douaniers Camerounais Formés à la Gestion Coordonnée à Cotonou

Cotonou, Benin – Three Cameroonian Customs officers brilliantly completed an international technical training course on coordinated border management which took place in Cotonou (Benin) from October 27 to 31, 2025 .

🤝 A Multi-Party Organization

This advanced training course was the result of a strategic collaboration between several renowned institutions:

  1. The International Academy for Counter-Terrorism (AILCT) of Ivory Coast.
  2. The Border Academy (AdF) of Benin.
  3. The Directorate for Security and Defence Cooperation (DCSD) of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

🎯 The Cameroonian Representatives and the Ceremony

The three Cameroonian participants, rigorously selected following a two-month remote training/selection process (April-May 2025), were:

  1. Commander ANONG AROGA Christelle Sandra .
  2. Commander KUETCHE Hugues Cyriaque .
  3. Chief Warrant Officer VOUNDI II Jean Philippe .

They received their certificates of completion of training from Colonel Philippe Coué , Attaché for Internal Security at the French Embassy in Benin.

🗺️ At the Heart of the Training: Geographic Intelligence

Led by GEO212 , a company specializing in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), this internship marks the first step in a large-scale program.

The main objective is to integrate the use of the open-source software QGIS (Quantum Geographic Information System) . This powerful tool will allow forces and administrations operating at the borders to:

  1. Create and view detailed maps.
  2. Analyzing complex geographic data.
  3. Sharing information for more efficient and coordinated border management .

The integration of such systems is crucial to modernizing surveillance and strengthening security in the sub-region.
