Tchad : 10 ans de prison pour avoir tenté de tuer son père
The High Court delivered its verdict this Wednesday, January 21, 2026, in a domestic violence case. An inmate at the Klessoum prison was sentenced to ten years in prison and fined 200,000 FCFA for attempted murder, death threats, and drug use.
The accused admitted to acting under the influence of alcohol and drugs, justifying his actions by citing family tensions. His father, who was absent from the hearing, testified that he narrowly escaped the tragedy by locking himself in to flee from his son. Following the verdict, a request was made for his transfer to the high-security prison in Korotoro .
