Tchad : Montée en compétences au GEMIA pour 72 officiers
The Joint Military Schools Group (GEMIA) celebrated the graduation of two classes of officers on Friday, March 13, 2026, in N'Djamena. For six months, these trainees followed an intensive curriculum focused on command and tactics , the cornerstones of modernizing the Chadian defense forces.
Following rigorous assessments conducted at the end of February, the results demonstrate the trainees' commitment. The average scores reflect a sustained work dynamic in both programs concerned:
During the ceremony, General Zakaria Hisseine, commander of GEMIA, praised the discipline and dedication of the graduates. He noted that this training program is directly aligned with the vision of the Head of State, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno , which aims to make security an absolute national priority.
"GEMIA continues to work to strengthen the operational capabilities of our forces in the face of current security challenges," the commander stressed, while thanking the general staff and the teaching staff.
Now equipped with new leadership skills, these officers rejoin their respective units. Their mission is clear: to translate theoretical knowledge into operational effectiveness on the ground to guarantee the country's stability.
