Tensions à la frontière : Le Tchad durcit le ton après la mort de sept soldats
Following a deadly armed incursion from Sudan, the Chadian government expressed its firm intention to no longer tolerate any violation of its territorial integrity. Government spokesperson Gassim Cherif Mahamat described this warning as "final" after a clash that claimed the lives of seven Chadian soldiers.
The incident erupted when armed elements involved in the Sudanese conflict crossed the border. The immediate response of the Defense and Security Forces (SDF) allowed them to regain control of the area, although the human toll was heavy.
"This is a final warning to anyone who would dare to cross the Chadian border," the Minister of Communication emphasized, stressing that the country's sovereignty is an absolute red line.
