Togo : Fin des résultats du BAC 1 par SMS, découvrez le nouveau mode de consultation
This is a small revolution in the Togolese educational landscape. The Minister of National Education, Mama Omorou, has officially announced the elimination of the consultation of national exam results (notably the BAC 1) via SMS messaging.
The information was relayed this Sunday, May 31, 2026 by several local media, following a tour by the minister on Saturday, May 30, in the correction centers of the high schools of Tokoin and Agoè-Centre.
Behind this decision lies a desire to ease the financial burden on households. Until now, each SMS consultation cost 250 FCFA . The minister highlighted the financial excesses of this system:
Describing the scheme as a "scam" that primarily benefits economic operators, the minister decided to put a definitive end to it.
To replace the SMS service, candidates and their relatives will have to turn to free and traditional alternatives:
While the exact date for the announcement of the results has not yet been revealed by the authorities, the countdown has begun. Deliberations must take place before the start of the Baccalaureate 2 exams, scheduled for June 16th .
The key figure: Nearly 75,000 candidates sat for the BAC 1 exams this year, the precious key that opens the doors to the final year of secondary school.
