The Ivorian government is accelerating its agricultural modernization strategy. On Sunday, July 5, 2026, in Kakologo (Poro region), the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Food Production, Bruno Nabagné Koné, launched two major initiatives: the laying of the foundation stone for a cotton seed delinting unit and the handover of rolling stock to the Professional Agricultural Organizations (PAOs).

This dual action embodies the State's ambition to boost the competitiveness of Ivorian cotton while simultaneously improving the daily lives of producers. Addressing stakeholders in the sector, the Minister commended the resilience of farmers and reaffirmed that agriculture remains the driving force behind Côte d'Ivoire's economic transformation.

The future seed delinting plant represents a highly strategic asset. By optimizing seed treatment before sowing, this infrastructure will enable:

2. Smooth delivery to processing and marketing centers.
3. The structuring and professionalization of peasant organizations.
