Alerte circulation à Abidjan : fermeture temporaire du pont De Gaulle ce mardi 30 décembre 2025
Road users are advised to exercise caution this Tuesday, December 30, 2025, due to a temporary disruption of traffic on the De Gaulle bridge , one of the main routes linking the Plateau to Treichville .
According to an alert issued by the Police Emergency Platform , the bridge will be closed to traffic in the Plateau–Treichville direction , from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. , due to the installation of equipment necessary for launching fireworks .
This measure is part of the preparations for an event requiring specific technical arrangements, involving strict safety conditions for users and the teams in charge of the installation.
Authorities are advising motorists to plan alternative routes during this time period to avoid traffic jams and other inconveniences. Security forces will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure compliance with the guidelines.
Normal traffic is expected to resume from 11am , unless otherwise indicated by the competent authorities.
Users are asked to remain attentive to official communications and to show understanding in the face of this temporary measure aimed at ensuring everyone's safety.
