Divo : Vers un futur pôle technologique grâce à un partenariat sino-ivoirien
The capital of the Lôh-Djiboua region is about to undergo a small revolution. Alahassane Diakité , the member of parliament for the Divo district, officially announced on Monday, April 27, 2026, the upcoming launch of a new-generation technology school . This ambitious project is the result of close collaboration with Chinese investors.
This announcement was the highlight of a parliamentary briefing, held in the presence of the regional prefect, Célestin Womblégnon , and a mobilized public. The project did not come out of nowhere: it is the concrete result of a fact-finding mission conducted by the member of parliament in China last March.
The objective was clear: to demonstrate that Divo is not limited to its agricultural potential, but constitutes fertile ground for cutting-edge investments.
The initiative has already entered its active phase, with several key milestones achieved:
“Divo must become a benchmark. We want to move from being an essentially agricultural city to a hub for training and innovation,” said Alahassane Diakité.
Elected as an independent in December 2025, Alahassane Diakité is no newcomer to the world of development. A seasoned businessman, he co-manages cocoa processing units with his twin brother. His commitment to this technology campus reflects his desire to create concrete opportunities for local youth and to sustainably modernize the economy of his constituency.
