Le Sultan des Bamoun à la Conquête des Cœurs à Abidjan
Ivory Coast's economic capital resonated with Cameroonian tradition. His Majesty Mouhammad-Nabil Mforifoum Mbombo Njoya , Sultan King of the Bamoun, began an official visit on Wednesday, under the banner of continental unity and cultural exchange.
Upon his arrival, the sovereign was received with the respect due to the highest dignitaries. Amidst diplomatic protocol and popular enthusiasm, the Ivorian delegation and the Cameroonian community took turns greeting the monarch. For the diaspora, this moment transcended a simple official visit, becoming a true celebration of national identity on foreign soil.
Beyond courtesy, this trip is based on three major axes:
"This visit testifies to the vitality of the historical and human ties that unite our peoples. It reminds us that culture is the cement of African integration."
The Bamoun Kingdom presents itself not only as a historical institution, but as a center of knowledge. Heir to the genius of Sultan Ibrahim Njoya, the current monarch gives voice to a people proud of their unique architecture and museums, considered jewels of sub-Saharan heritage.
In speaking with Ivorian authorities and his diaspora, Mouhammad-Nabil Mforifoum Mbombo Njoya confirms that "royal diplomacy" is, more than ever, an essential lever of inter-African cooperation.
