The Abidjan Higher School of Commerce (ESCA) is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. Held under the theme "Honoring the heritage, shaping the future" and under the high patronage of the Vice-President of the Republic, the opening ceremony took place in the presence of high-ranking political figures, who came to salute the exceptional journey of this elite institution.

A strategic pillar for Ivory Coast and the sub-region

Presiding over the event, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Téné Birahima Ouattara , paid a vibrant tribute to the institution:

"Ivorian professionals from ESCA contribute, each at their own level and in various sectors of activity, to the development of our country. ESCA is one of the pillars of development in Côte d'Ivoire."

He also highlighted the school's international reputation, noting that it has become an attractive benchmark for students throughout the sub-region. Emphasizing that human capital remains the best investment, the Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to actively supporting institutions of excellence, alongside the expansion of the national university network.

Focus on innovation and economic impact

For his part, the President of the National Assembly, Patrick Achi , projected the school towards the challenges of tomorrow. He urged ESCA to continually reinvent itself in order to fully establish itself as a leading global business school, capable of transforming knowledge into concrete impact for the economy.

For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Adama Diawara , emphasized academic quality, essential to guarantee the competitiveness of Ivorian universities on an international scale.

50 years of history and perspectives

Founded during the 1975-1976 academic year, ESCA boasts a prestigious track record:

1. More than 1,000 graduates trained.
2. Influential leaders now positioned at the highest levels of public administration and the private sector.

Beyond official speeches, this fiftieth anniversary aims to be a space for reflection and concrete opportunities. The festivities were also marked by the opening of a job and entrepreneurship fair , organized in the presence of Minister Mamadou Touré, directly connecting the school's talents with the professional world.
