Bouaké : Le Grand Marché bientôt opérationnel, le Conseil Municipal fixe ses priorités
Meeting on March 14 at the Town Hall for the 2nd annual session , the municipal councilors of Bouaké, under the direction of the 7th deputy mayor Mélombé Fofana , approved the major budget guidelines and the structuring projects of the municipality for the current year.
The long-awaited announcement has arrived: the Grand Market of Bouaké will officially open its doors this year.
The Municipal Council adopted an initial budget amounting to 11,165,776,000 FCFA , of which 2 billion FCFA comes from the municipality's own revenue.
Mayor Amadou Koné 's stated objective is clear: to transform the face of Bouaké through concrete investments.
“The municipal council will be judged on its achievements. We have decided to dedicate a significant portion of the budget to projects that directly impact the daily lives of the people,” stressed Mélombé Fofana.
In addition to finalizing the contract, two flagship projects have been confirmed for this term:
The 2025 fiscal year ended on a positive note. The administrative accounts received unanimous approval from the councilors, demonstrating rigorous management of public funds. The session was held in the presence of Vanié Bi Trazié Jean-François , Secretary General of the Prefecture, who oversees administrative oversight.
