Coopération économique : la Guinée s’inspire du savoir-faire du CEPICI pour dynamiser ses investissements
Ms. Solange Amichia, Director General of the Centre for the Promotion of Investments in Côte d'Ivoire (CEPICI), received on Friday, October 10, 2025, a Guinean delegation led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate of Economic Diplomacy of Guinea.
This visit, carried out as part of a study trip to Côte d'Ivoire, aimed to draw inspiration from the Ivorian experience for the establishment of the General Directorate of Economic Diplomacy in Guinea.
The discussions, which focused on sharing experiences and strengthening sub-regional cooperation, enabled Guinean representatives to better understand the Ivorian model of investment promotion.
"We came to learn from the Ivorian system to build an effective structure for economic diplomacy," said Jean-Justin N'Gbichy, Director of Economic Cooperation at the Guinean Ministry.
Ms. Amichia welcomed this initiative, recalling that "investment promotion and economic diplomacy are part of the same ecosystem." She emphasized the need for synergy of action between public institutions to effectively mobilize investors and improve the business environment.
In addition, the Director General presented the missions of CEPICI and also highlighted the Center's ongoing efforts in digitalization, simplification of procedures and reduction of business creation times, pillars of Ivorian attractiveness.
Discussions also focused on leveraging the diaspora as a lever for investment. Ms. Amichia presented the Diaspora Support Program, which facilitates investment by Ivorians abroad through a structured framework and dedicated support mechanisms. Guinean representatives expressed their interest in drawing inspiration from this approach to better leverage the potential of their own diaspora.
This meeting is part of the ongoing cooperation between Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea, two member countries of UEMOA and the Network of Francophone Investment Promotion Agencies (RAPI-UEMOA), chaired by Ms. Amichia.
The two parties reaffirmed their willingness to continue technical exchanges and to establish a framework for bilateral collaboration between CEPICI and the Guinean Investment Promotion Agency (APIP).
