The Ivorian government has taken another step in its development strategy. On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Council of Ministers ratified two major loan agreements for the Governance Support Project for Inclusive Growth .
These funds, from the African Development Bank Group (AfDB), are allocated as follows:
The overall budget thus exceeds 25 billion FCFA , sealing agreements initially concluded on January 20, 2026.
According to government spokesperson Amadou Coulibaly, this funding aims to transform public management around three priority areas:
Beyond the figures, this project emphasizes the human and social aspects. A significant portion of the initiative will be dedicated to integrating gender considerations into public finance management tools, ensuring that economic growth is not only strong and sustainable, but also truly inclusive for all segments of the population.
