The die is cast for the 2026 Junior High School Certificate (BEPC) exams in Ivory Coast. Deliberations officially concluded on Friday, June 12th. Now begins the final countdown before the results are announced.

See you on Tuesday, June 16th

As previously announced, candidates will be able to view their results on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, starting at 2:00 PM . The results will be available online on the official platform of the Directorate of Examinations and Competitions (DECO).

Stress and prayers: the internet is abuzz

As the fateful hour approaches, the tension mounts. On social media, the atmosphere oscillates between intense anxiety and religious fervor. Parents and students are posting frequently to ward off bad luck.

"Lord, have mercy on us. I can't sleep anymore." "I'm so stressed... Oh, if only my son were accepted!" "May God have mercy on everyone and may there be a good acceptance rate."

Key figures for the 2026 session

This year, the exam mobilized an impressive number of students, marked by a strong policy of inclusion:

  1. 606,285 candidates in total.
  2. Gender breakdown: 52% girls and 48% boys.
  3. Inclusion: 142 candidates with disabilities (including 72 hard of hearing, 36 visually impaired and 34 autistic).

As a reminder, the candidates' final average incorporates the performances obtained throughout the process: the physical tests (EPS), the oral English tests (from May 20 to 23) and, finally, the written tests which took place from May 26 to 29.
