The Directorate of Examinations and Competitions (DECO) has officially published the schedule for the written exams for the 2026 BEPC session. With the oral exams concluding this Saturday, May 23rd, candidates are preparing to enter the final stretch to secure their place in the second year of secondary school.

The compositions will take place from Tuesday, May 26 to Friday, May 29, 2026 , with a notable break in the middle of the week.

The exams will begin each day at 7:45 AM . Here are the main steps to remember:

  1. Tuesday, May 26 (07:45): Launch of hostilities with the French Composition exam.
  2. Wednesday, May 27: General break. No classes will be held due to the celebration of the Tabaski festival (public holiday).
  3. Thursday, May 28 (7:45 a.m.): Resumption of exams, starting with the Mathematics exam.
  4. Friday, May 29: Closing of the session with the Visual Arts and Music exams.

⚠️ Call for vigilance and discipline: DECO recommendations

In its official statement, the DECO (Department of Examinations and Competitions) sought to raise awareness among candidates, parents, and the teaching staff. The institution particularly emphasized the management of the festive break on Wednesday:

"The DECO invites all candidates and stakeholders to enjoy the Tabaski festivities in moderation in order to avoid any inconvenience that could affect the smooth running of the examinations."

To guarantee their success, candidates are encouraged to adopt an exemplary code of conduct based on four pillars:

  1. Rest and discipline: Managing your time well between studying and celebrating.
  2. Lifestyle: Taking care of your health to stay in top shape.
  3. Punctuality and concentration: Be present in the rooms well before the indicated time.
  4. Zero cheating: A strict refusal of any form of fraud.
