The Ivorian education system has taken another step in its quest for performance. Under the auspices of the Directorate of Examinations and Competitions ( DECO ), the written tests for several strategic competitions were launched on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Lycée Moderne de Cocody.

A dual challenge: Administration and Pedagogy

Led by Kadidiata Diarra Badji , director of the Deco department, this competition session is structured around two major axes:

1. Administrative strengthening : Recruitment of Assistant Heads of Establishments ( ACE ) and Assistant Directors of CAFOP ( ADC ).
2. Educational development : Examinations for obtaining the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude ( CAP ) and the Elementary Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude ( CEAP ).

Key figures from the session

The unique center in Cocody is welcoming candidates this year who are determined to advance their careers:

1. ACE : 318 candidates are competing for 250 positions .
2. ADC : 13 candidates are in the running for 10 positions .
3. CAP : 221 applicants (109 women and 112 men).
4. CEAP : 286 candidates (including a large majority of 186 women) aspire to school leadership positions.

"A high-performing education system relies on a solid pool of human resources," recalled Ogou Marie-Reine , Inspector General, stressing that these recruitments are essential for the effectiveness of local governance.

Results Calendar

After an intense day of essays and practical assessments, the candidates will have to wait to find out their fate:

1. March 24, 2026 : Eligibility results for administrative competitions (ACE/ADC).
2. April 24, 2026 : Results of the teaching examinations (CAP/CEAP).

This initiative by the Ministry of National Education and Literacy is part of a comprehensive reform aimed at professionalizing student supervision and ensuring optimal management of schools in Ivory Coast.
