JIF 2026 : L’ARTCI en tournée pour protéger la vie privée des lycéennes ivoiriennes
As part of International Women's Day (IWD 2026), the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) launched a major awareness campaign on March 9th in Cocody. Entitled "Women, Rights and Data Protection in the Digital Age," this initiative specifically targets young women, who are particularly active on social media.
The initiative was launched at Madeleine Daniélou College by Désiré Aka, Director of Personal Data Protection at ARTCI. The objective is clear: to transform students into responsible digital citizens. Faced with the risks of cyberbullying and excessive exposure, experts reminded everyone that every click leaves an indelible trace.
"We were advised to be careful about what we publish, because our actions today can have repercussions tomorrow," says Marie-Loïs N'Docho, a 9th grade student.
The tour continues throughout the week in prestigious schools such as Lycée Sainte-Marie, Lycée Mamie Faitai, and Lycée Mamie Adjoua in Yamoussoukro. Through this outreach initiative, ARTCI reaffirms its mission to guarantee a healthy digital environment that complies with Ivorian law.
