Lancement du 1er Salon National de l’Enseignement Technique (SNET)

The Ivorian educational landscape has been enriched by a major new event. Minister Delegate Jean-Louis Moulot officially announced on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the creation of the National Technical Education Fair (SNET) . The first edition will be held on April 25 at the Cocody Technical High School , under the patronage of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.

A lever for industrialization

Under the theme " Technical Education, a Lever for the Industrialization of Côte d'Ivoire ," this trade fair aims to become the leading platform for promoting often overlooked sectors. The objective is fourfold:

  1. To effectively guide students in 9th and 12th grade.
  2. Innovate by presenting local solutions.
  3. Promoting employment by connecting young people and recruiters.
  4. Promoting gender parity in technical professions.

The day's program

From 8:30 am, the SNET will offer a full agenda to meet the expectations of families and professionals:

  1. Personalized guidance: Experts from the ministry and the DOB will support students in their career choices.
  2. Networking and Panels: Three round tables led by experts and B to B sessions between students and public-private partners.
  3. Immersion: Visits to booths and an opening conference to discover concrete opportunities.

Aligning training with the needs of businesses

For Jean-Louis Moulot, the challenge is to break down stereotypes: technical education is a path to excellence . The minister emphasized the need to produce human resources that are immediately operational for the productive sector.

“We want to ensure an ongoing dialogue with the private sector to align their expectations with our training curricula. It’s no longer about training young people whom companies then have to retrain when they start their jobs.” — Jean-Louis Moulot

An initiative led by the Prime Minister's Office

This project stems from the direct initiative of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé, himself a graduate of a technical education program. While this first edition is being held in Abidjan, the ministry is already planning a national tour and, eventually, decentralizing the event to reach young people throughout Côte d'Ivoire.
