Le Hub franco-ivoirien (HubFIE) s'officialise pour freiner la fuite des cerveaux
This is a decisive step for the Ivorian educational landscape. On Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in Abidjan, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Adama Diawara , officially installed the Franco-Ivorian Hub for Education (HubFIE) association.
This ambitious project, which brings together universities, businesses and technical partners from both nations, has two priority missions: to retain local talent and to propel the industrialization of Ivory Coast.
The concept is based on a unique cooperation model: Ivorian and French institutions jointly develop joint degree and certification programs.

For the Director General of IPNETP, Professor Edmée Mansilla-Abouattier , HubFIE is a tool for social justice. In addition to combating brain drain, it reduces inequalities in access to cutting-edge training and strengthens the country's international standing.
For his part, the French ambassador, Jean-Christophe Belliard , stressed the alignment of these training programs with the job market: the objective is to ensure immediate professional integration by precisely meeting the technical needs of local companies.
Initially announced by Presidents Alassane Ouattara and Emmanuel Macron in 2017 at the AU-EU summit, HubFIE has now reached a major operational milestone. More than just an academic partnership, it represents a strategic pillar for the sustainable structuring of the Ivorian economic fabric.
