Ivorian technical education has reached a historic milestone in its digital transition. On Monday, July 13, 2026, the Abidjan-Cocody Technical High School officially inaugurated its brand new UniPod Centre .

The inauguration ceremony was presided over by N'Guessan Koffi , Minister of National Education, Literacy and Technical Education, in the presence of leading diplomatic figures: Ahunna Eziakonwa (Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations) and Blerta Cela (UNDP Resident Representative in Côte d'Ivoire).

A technology hub to propel the talents of tomorrow

Designed as a true incubator for technology and entrepreneurship, the UniPod Centre offers learners a modern environment to move from theory to practice. This cutting-edge laboratory focuses on developing high-level skills in key sectors:

1. Emerging technologies: Artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and automation.
2. Modern manufacturing: Digital design and rapid prototyping tools.
3. Entrepreneurial culture: Supporting young project leaders, from idea to value creation.

3. Extractive and manufacturing industries (mining, local wood processing).

This success is the result of strong synergy between the Ivorian State and its international and national partners. The Minister warmly welcomed the crucial support of the Vocational Training Development Fund (FDFP) , led by its Secretary General Philippe N'Dri , as well as the ongoing support of the UNDP .

With the deployment of this first UniPod Centre, Côte d'Ivoire confirms its political will to position technological innovation and youth at the heart of its industrial growth model.
