Séguéla : 20 écoles se mettent au vert avec l’UNICEF et l’ONG ASD

On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the Siakasso Primary School hosted the official launch of a large-scale school reforestation campaign. Initiated by the NGO Assistance Éco Développement (ASD) with the support of UNICEF , this operation covers 20 schools in the Séguéla and Massala education districts.

Key points of the project:

Awareness raising: Nearly 5,000 students mobilized for the environmental cause.
Sustainable education: Beyond planting (acacias, palm trees, terminalia trees), the project includes training on composting and hygiene.
Local commitment: Families and schoolchildren have personally committed to ensuring the survival of the young plants.

For Alice Zadi (UNICEF), the objective is clear: to offer children a healthy learning environment while concretely fighting against deforestation in the Worodougou region.
