A particularly disturbing scene of violence has sparked outrage since its release on social media. The video, widely shared online, shows a woman being attacked while confronting an individual armed with a knife.
Beyond the brutality of the attacker, it is above all the attitude of those around the victim that is so striking. While the woman was clearly in danger, several of her relatives, present at the scene, remained completely passive. None of them attempted to intervene or offer assistance, leaving the victim alone to face the threat.
The situation could have turned tragic were it not for the courageous intervention of passersby. Alerted by the seriousness of the scene, these witnesses decided to act. They managed to subdue and neutralize the assailant, thus ending the threat and allowing the victim to reach safety.
While the video of the incident is circulating widely on social media, little official information is available at this stage regarding the identity of those involved or the legal proceedings against the alleged perpetrator. The precise circumstances of the attack also remain unclear.
The incident nevertheless raises serious questions about collective responsibility and friendship in the face of danger.
