Grave accident de la route à Tiassalé : 5 morts et 21 blessés dont plusieurs cas graves
A violent traffic accident occurred this Friday at around 8:36 a.m. on the Tiassalé–Divo road, near the village of Okakro , located about twelve kilometers from Tiassalé.
According to emergency services, the accident involved a collision between a 60-seat bus belonging to the TCF company and a minibus . Alerted, the 7th Company of the Military Firefighters Group (GSPM) of N'Zianouan quickly deployed to the scene to assist the victims.
The final toll reports 33 victims , including 5 confirmed deaths .
There are also 21 injured , including 15 serious cases evacuated to the General Hospital of Tiassalé and the Saint Jean-Baptiste Hospital of Bodo for urgent care.
In addition, 7 slightly injured victims refused evacuation after signing waivers.
Several emergency services were mobilized for this operation, in coordination with the gendarmerie and administrative authorities present at the scene. After the operations to secure the area and ensure its safety, traffic was restored .
The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet clear. An investigation is expected to determine the causes.
