Bouaflé : SOLIBRA inaugure une station d'épuration ultra-moderne à 5 milliards FCFA

The African Soft Drinks and Lemonade Company (SOLIBRA) has taken a major step in its ecological transition. On Thursday, April 16, 2026, the company officially inaugurated the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at its Bouaflé factory, a colossal investment dedicated to preserving the region's water resources.

A technical feat serving the environment

The result of 18 months of work, this infrastructure required an investment of approximately 5 billion CFA francs . Its technical specifications make it a model of its kind:

  1. Treatment capacity: 4,670 m³ of water per day.
  2. Technology: Activated sludge system using anaerobic microorganisms to neutralize industrial discharges.
  3. Quality control: An integrated state-of-the-art laboratory allows all physico-chemical and biological analyses to be carried out in real time.

A managerial and civic commitment

For Katchy Soro , director of the Bouaflé plant, this station is much more than a technical tool: "It is the symbol of our commitment to a sustainable future and our desire to reduce our footprint on biodiversity." A collective success that mobilized more than 150 employees and about ten service providers.

The Managing Director of SOLIBRA Côte d'Ivoire, Marc Pozmentier , took advantage of the event to confirm that Bouaflé will remain at the heart of the company's growth strategy: "Today, we are inaugurating a wastewater treatment plant; tomorrow, there will be other projects."

A model of compliance praised by the authorities

The initiative has been very well received by public decision-makers:

Speaker Key Message
ANDE (Kouamé Paul) Welcomed the implementation of the 2021 environmental recommendations.
Bouaflé Town Hall (Etienne Yao) He welcomed the improvement in living conditions for local populations.
Government (Prefect Gonbagui Gueu Georges) He described the project as an "exemplary achievement" reconciling industry and ecology.

Towards a greener Ivorian industry

By now discharging treated water that meets the strictest standards, SOLIBRA is positioning itself as a leader in corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Ivory Coast.

Present in the industrial landscape since 1955, the company — which has 2,000 employees and 5 production sites — proves that it can combine its 75 product references with ethical and sustainable management of its natural heritage.
