The road infrastructure landscape in Ivory Coast is about to expand. Before the members of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee (CAEF), the Minister of Equipment and Road Maintenance, Amédé Koffi Kouakou , confirmed on Friday, November 21, 2025, the addition of new bridges and toll plazas starting in 2026.
This strategy aims to strengthen the country's economic model by ensuring better maintenance of national roads , improving traffic flow, and supporting economic growth. These projects are part of a broader effort to position Côte d'Ivoire as a leader in sustainable infrastructure within the sub-region.
The minister unveiled the locations of these future facilities, chosen for their importance in economic corridors:

The minister also recalled the contribution of the posts recently put into service or reinforced in 2025, such as Katiola (Bouaké–Katiola axis), Ebouassué (Abengourou–Bondoukou), and the facilities on the N'Douci – Divo – Gagnoa axis (Eticoon–Tollakro and Lakota).
Focus on Performance: The Bassam toll plaza on the Abidjan–Lagos highway has far exceeded its objectives, reaching 122% of its revenue forecasts.
These excellent results demonstrate the effectiveness of the national policy, which considers toll road infrastructure as a pillar of economic competitiveness and sustainable mobility for the future of the country.
