Coupe du Monde 2026 : La FIF dévoile les modalités d'accréditation pour les médias ivoiriens

With the World Cup approaching, Ivory Coast is fine-tuning its media organization. The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) officially launched the process of allocating accreditations reserved for the national press during a working session held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at its headquarters in Treichville.

A quota of 25 places for the print media and photographers

For this edition, FIFA has allocated Côte d'Ivoire a total of 25 accreditations , a number based on the country's history and level of participation. The breakdown is as follows:

  1. 20 places for journalists from print media and magazines.
  2. 05 places for professional photographers.
Important note: This quota strictly excludes audiovisual media (television and radio) as well as online media, in accordance with the guidelines of the international body.

Transparency and eligibility criteria

Under the leadership of Armand Gohourou , Executive Director of the FIF, and in the presence of the presidents of the major associations (UNPSCI and AJSCI), the Federation reaffirmed its commitment to fair distribution.

Candidates must strictly adhere to the following steps:

  1. Prior registration on the FIFA Media Hub platform.
  2. Individual form : Download and complete the official document with supporting identity documents and professional evidence.
  3. Access code : Final access to the form requires a unique code provided exclusively by the FIF. Although linked to press associations, these codes are personal and non-transferable.

A glimmer of hope for additional seats

The FIF clarified that a request for an additional quota could be submitted to FIFA, on the essential condition that the first 25 places are fully validated and used.

Finally, the Federation reminds journalists that while it manages accreditations, the logistics related to visas remain the sole responsibility of the journalists, who will have to carry out their procedures directly with the embassies concerned.
