Elon Musk, now the subject of a judicial investigation in France concerning possible abuses by X, insulted French magistrates on his social network on Friday, with homophobic remarks in particular.

"They are more fake than a chocolate euro and more faggot than a pink flamingo in a neon tutu!", wrote Mr. Musk in French on X, in response to a message mentioning this new stage in the judicial investigation in France.

Following the investigations opened in January 2025, an investigating judge in France is now in charge of investigating possible complicity in the dissemination of child pornography images on the social network X, the Paris prosecutor's office indicated on Thursday, a few days after the American billionaire failed to respond to a summons from the French justice system for a voluntary hearing.

Mr. Musk, as well as former X CEO Linda Yaccarino, are targeted in their capacity as de facto and de jure managers of the X platform at the time of the events.

"They are mentally retarded," Mr. Musk had already declared, in the language of Molière, on his social network, regarding the French magistrates, after a mid-February search of X's Parisian premises.

The investigation, which is being carried out by the national cyber unit of the gendarmerie, "concerns possible violations by the X platform of French legislation, with which it must obviously comply on French territory," the Paris prosecutor's office explained in early 2026.

The allegations include possible complicity in the distribution of child pornography and the use of X's artificial intelligence model, Grok, for the creation of "deepfakes," i.e., ultra-realistic, sexually explicit montages, without the consent of the victims.

The social network declared the raid an "abusive judicial act" based "on political motives" and denied any wrongdoing. It asserted that it would "not be intimidated."
