Frappes russes sur l'Ukraine: trois morts dont un secouriste

Russian missile strikes on Ukraine overnight Friday to Saturday killed three people, including a rescue worker, Ukrainian authorities announced.

"One rescuer was killed and another injured as a result of repeated missile fire on the community of Petropavlivska in the Dnipropetrovsk region," in the center-east of the country, the Interior Ministry said on social media.

In the same region, "a woman was also killed and seven people were injured," the ministry said, explaining that "fire trucks, residential buildings and shops were damaged."

Moscow also targeted the capital Kyiv, killing one person and wounding ten others, according to the head of the city's military administration, Timur Tkachenko.

Around 4 a.m., AFP journalists in kyiv heard the characteristic whistling sound of missiles and powerful detonations.

National emergency services shared photos of firefighters battling the flames as major fires broke out in two districts of the capital, according to municipal sources.

That night, Russia fired "nine Iskander-M ballistic missiles" and "64 attack drones" and other types at Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force, which claims to have destroyed 50 drones and four missiles.
