Ligue 1 : L'AS Monaco douche le PSG au Parc, Simon Adingra et les siens impériaux !

The clash of the 25th round of Ligue 1 turned into a rout. On Friday, March 6, 2026, AS Monaco caused a sensation by winning 3-1 on the pitch of an unrecognizable Paris Saint-Germain. Just days before a crucial Champions League match against Chelsea, Luis Enrique's men are plunged into doubt.

Match report: A chillingly realistic Monaco style

Despite dominating possession, PSG paid dearly for their current lack of inspiration. True to their game plan, Monaco opened the scoring in the 27th minute: perfectly set up by Balogun, Maghnes Akliouche slotted the ball past the Parisian goalkeeper to silence the Parc des Princes ( 0-1 ).

Upon returning from the locker room, the scenario did not reverse. In the 55th minute, Adi Hütter's coaching proved successful: barely on the pitch, Aleksandr Golovin doubled the score, plunging Paris into stupor ( 0-2 ).

A Parisian resurgence that was too brief

With their backs against the wall, the Parisians tried to respond through Désiré Doué and Bradley Barcola. It was ultimately the latter who gave his team hope in the 71st minute with a deflected shot ( 1-2 ). But while the reigning European champions pressed for an equalizer, the inevitable Folarin Balogun sealed the match by scoring Monaco's third goal, silencing the stands.

Simon Adingra: A striking entrance

Starting on the bench, Ivory Coast international Simon Adingra confirmed his excellent form. Very sharp, he came close to increasing the score in the 88th minute, but his attempt crashed against the crossbar.

Ranking position

Thanks to this prestigious victory, AS Monaco climbs to 5th place with 40 points. PSG, although still top of the table (57 points), sees its lead slightly reduced over Lens (53 points) and Lyon (45 points).

The Ligue 1 Top 5: | Rank | Team | Points | | :--- | :--- | :--- | | 1 | PSG | 57 | | 2 | RC Lens | 53 | | 3 | OL | 45 | | 4 | OM | 43 | | 5 | AS Monaco | 40 |

The number: 3. That's the number of matches between the two clubs since February 17th. The record is now perfectly balanced: one win for each side and one draw.
