The Ivory Coast Embassy in the United States is taking a firm stance. Faced with the emergence of a parallel black market within the community, the diplomatic mission in Washington has firmly clarified the situation regarding ticketing for the national team's upcoming matches.

No, the embassy does not sell tickets

Having learned that some members of the diaspora are reselling tickets for the Elephants' matches scheduled for June 14 and 25, 2026 in Philadelphia, the embassy issued an official statement. It asserts that it is in no way associated with these transactions and urges the Ivorian community to be extremely vigilant regarding these practices, which it condemns.

The official plan: Lottery and regulated free access

To counter this phenomenon and ensure fair distribution, the diplomatic mission is implementing an official and transparent system. Subject to availability, tickets will be allocated through two channels:

A public lottery: A draw will be held live on June 10, 2026.
The association network: Part of the tickets will be directly allocated to diaspora associations that regularly support the activities of the embassy.
