Cybercriminalité : Un Ivoirien extradé aux USA pour une fraude de 14 millions $
The case is causing a major stir in the international cybersecurity community. Christian Marviv Blé , a 39-year-old Ivorian national, was extradited from France to Texas on April 21, 2026. He is accused of masterminding a massive digital fraud scheme that defrauded hundreds of companies.
According to the FBI investigation, the accused was not targeting individuals, but rather the infrastructure of travel professionals. The scheme unfolded in three stages:
Note: The arrest and extradition operation was coordinated by the Bureau of International Affairs of the US Department of Justice, marking close collaboration between French and American authorities.
Currently in the custody of the Marshals Service in Tyler, Texas (Eastern District), Christian Marviv Blé awaits trial. Although the evidence gathered by federal prosecutor Jay R. Combs appears strong, the American justice system emphasizes that the accused remains presumed innocent until the final verdict.
This case underlines once again the persistent challenges facing Côte d'Ivoire in the face of transnational cybercrime, despite the strengthening of local policies to combat "brouteurs" and other digital fraud networks.
