Israël : une ex-procureure militaire arrêtée pour la fuite d’une vidéo sensible
Former Israeli military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi has been arrested in connection with an investigation into the leak of a video showing Israeli soldiers mistreating a Palestinian detainee. The arrest was confirmed by Israeli authorities in early November 2025, a few days after her announced resignation.
The video in question originated in a prison and was disseminated outside official channels, raising questions about the protection of sensitive data and the integrity of the armed forces. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi reportedly admitted her role in the dissemination, stating that her intention was to "defend the integrity of the forces" and counter what she considered to be false propaganda targeting the military.
Israeli police also announced the arrest of a former military prosecutor, Matan Solomosh, in connection with the same investigation. Authorities are seeking to determine whether others were involved in the unauthorized dissemination of the video and whether any additional criminal offenses were committed.
This case comes amid legal and political tensions in Israel , where the responsibility of the armed forces and the chain of command are regularly scrutinized by institutions and the media. Authorities have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and that all parties involved will be heard in accordance with the law.
The case raises questions about transparency, the protection of sensitive information and the conduct of military justice officers , and could have repercussions for the internal practices of the Israeli army.
